Feature
A scorecard the board cannot edit. A report owners can read.
Financial health, governance, compliance, transparency, procurement integrity, operations and controls, derived nightly from the record with every tile drilling to its evidence. The Trust Report turns it into plain language each quarter.
Board reality
Why this is hard for a volunteer board
Owners do not trust the board because they cannot see what the board sees. Boards resent the suspicion because they are volunteers. Both are right.
The mechanism
How the butler handles it
- Step 1
The tiles compute overnight
Reserve funded ratio, arrears rate, meetings held against required, days from meeting to minutes, obligations on time, records requests answered on time, percent of qualifying spend with quotes, payments outside dual authorisation, and forty more. - Step 2
Every tile drills to its evidence
The board can see it first and choose when owners see it, but it cannot change a number. - Step 3
The Trust Report writes itself
Quarterly and annually: where the money went, what was decided, what is coming, the reserve trajectory, your unit's share. One click publishes it to the portal, email and a print-ready PDF.
Record output
What it produces
The scorecard with methodology versions, and the Trust Report.
The continuity file: a handover package on director turnover, a state-of-the-corporation brief, a credential revocation checklist, a bus-factor score and institutional memory search.
Role dashboards, scheduled reports and a custom report builder.
One-click packs for the board, the AGM, the auditor, a lender and a tribunal, anonymised peer benchmarking, 10-year trends and a full export.
Rules pack
Ontario and Florida
Each jurisdiction is a rules pack, and the citation travels with the obligation.
Compliance tiles count the obligations in your rules pack, and the Florida and Ontario posting and records tiles use each jurisdiction's mandated category list.
Board questions
Questions boards ask
Can the board hide a bad tile?
No. The board chooses when the scorecard becomes owner-visible, not what is on it.
Where does benchmarking data come from?
Other Board Butler corporations, anonymised and grouped so no single building can be identified. A group is never shown with fewer than five corporations from at least three different customers in it.
What is the continuity file?
Everything an incoming director needs, generated on turnover: open items, contracts in flight, disputes, credentials to revoke.
