Status certificate

The corporation's written statement to a purchaser about a unit's standing and the corporation's affairs. A purchaser, a lender and a lawyer all rely on it, so an error in one is expensive.

Status certificate under section 76, on a prescribed form with a capped fee under O. Reg. 48/01. Specs/00 records the fee cap as one to confirm with counsel.

Florida

The equivalent is an estoppel certificate.
