What this duty is
The annual members' meeting is held once in each year and the board election runs with it, on its own notice timetable that starts well before the meeting itself.
The election notices are the part that trips associations up, because there are two of them, they are spaced, and the second one carries the candidate information sheets that candidates had to return in time to be included.
An election that goes wrong is rarely fixable at the meeting. The remedy is a rerun, and the association pays for it.
